Bio

Les Alexander has been teaching as an instructor of Finance in the College of Business at Loyola since 2013, and he is also a Visiting Lecturer in Finance at Tulane University. He is a partner with Jefferson Capital Partners where he makes venture capital and private equity investments in privately owned businesses and serves on their boards of directors. He previously worked as an investor with Advantage Capital Partners and was president of Ferrara Fire Apparatus, a leading fire truck and emergency vehicle manufacturer. As an investment banker for 15 years with Howard Weil, Southcoast Capital, and J.C. Bradford, Mr. Alexander completed public offerings, private placements, and merger and acquisition transactions for public and private clients. Mr. Alexander is a member of the governing board of the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA) and previously served as its Southern Region President. He is a board member of ACG Louisiana, founded the local chapter, and served as its first president. Mr. Alexander is a former Chairman of Finance of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), InterGrowth Chairman, and global board member. Mr. Alexander is also a past president of the board of Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans. Mr. Alexander received his BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the University of North Carolina.
