Dr. Luciani is an Associate Professor of the Practice, Professor Extraordinarius, at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. He is a Lay Venezuelan theologian, appointed as Expert of the Theological Commission of the General Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops. LIM alumna Milissa Else, M.P.S. will share her response. The theme of the 2024 Lecture Series is Navigating Difference, Celebrating Unity: The Promise of Synodality for a Polarized Church. Each 1-hour virtual lectures in this series will explore how the practice of synodality (encountering with love, listening with empathy, and discerning a faithful response) can help people respond to experiences of polarization in the Church.
